Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Articles
Advances in Medical Science publishes innovative and high-quality research across the entire spectrum of medicine and biomedical sciences. The journal welcomes original research articles, clinical investigations, comprehensive reviews, and case reports that contribute to the advancement of healthcare, diagnostics, treatment, and medical technologies.
Clinical Research Articles – Original research following the IMRAD structure, including randomized controlled trials, observational cohort studies, experimental medicine, and translational research. Submissions should provide new evidence for disease mechanisms, diagnostics, therapies, or prevention strategies.
Experimental Studies – Focused on laboratory-based or preclinical investigations exploring molecular, cellular, or physiological mechanisms. These papers should present robust data with clear clinical or biomedical implications.
Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews summarizing the state of knowledge in specific medical fields. Reviews should identify key research developments, challenges, and future directions in diagnostics, therapeutics, or healthcare policy.
Case Reports – Well-documented descriptions of unique or rare clinical cases, novel treatment approaches, or diagnostic challenges. Case reports should include background, methods, findings, and clinical relevance for practice improvement.
Short Communications – Concise reports presenting preliminary findings, emerging technologies, or early-stage research with potential for significant clinical impact.
