Abstract

Bioprinting technology offers a revolutionary approach to organ transplantation by enabling the creation of bioengineered tissues. This article reviews the current state of bioprinting, highlighting its potential to address organ shortages and improve transplant outcomes. Advances in 3D printing of tissues and organs are discussed, along with the challenges of replicating complex biological structures. The ethical and regulatory considerations of bioprinting are explored, emphasizing its future role in medicine.
