Abstract

Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) pose significant challenges in the administration of pharmacologic therapies, particularly within oncological settings. This study explores the integration of pharmacogenomic data to forecast ADR risk profiles among cancer patients, thus advancing personalized treatment modalities. Employing a cohort of 500 patients, we analyzed genetic variants associated with drug metabolism and response through next-generation sequencing technologies. Results demonstrated a 30% reduction in ADR incidence when pharmacogenomic profiling was implemented. These findings affirm the necessity for incorporating pharmacogenomics into clinical practice, enhancing therapeutic efficacy while minimizing harm. The implications for the future of personalized medicine are profound, underscoring a vital shift towards individualized treatment protocols in oncology.
