Abstract

Recent advancements in minimally invasive surgical techniques have sparked a critical reassessment of established methodologies in cardiovascular surgery, particularly regarding complex aortic repairs. This study investigates the efficacy of these novel approaches, contrasting them with traditional open surgery in terms of patient outcomes, recovery times, and complication rates. Through a retrospective analysis of patient data from various medical centers over five years, we employed statistical methods to analyze postoperative recovery metrics and long-term survival rates. Our findings reveal that minimally invasive techniques significantly reduce recovery times by an average of 30% and hospital stays by 20%, with p-values indicating strong statistical significance (p < 0.01). These results challenge the prevailing reliance on open surgical techniques and emphasize the importance of adapting surgical practices to enhance patient care in modern medical settings.
