Abstract

This study investigates the role of microfinance in poverty alleviation in Bangladesh. It examines how microfinance institutions (MFIs) have empowered small entrepreneurs, especially women, and facilitated their access to financial resources. The article evaluates the effectiveness of microfinance programs in promoting economic growth and reducing income inequality. By analyzing quantitative data and personal interviews, the research highlights the successes and challenges faced by these institutions in economically disadvantaged regions. This case study sheds light on the potential of microfinance as a tool for sustainable development and its impact on improving the socio-economic conditions in developing countries.
