A Comparative Analysis of Competing Fiscal Strategies: Evaluating the Efficacy of Keynesian, Monetarist, and Supply-Side Approaches in Post-Pandemic Economic Recovery

This article examines the relative effectiveness of Keynesian, Monetarist, and Supply-Side economic strategies in facilitating recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, we analyze quantitative data from GDP growth rates and employment figures alongside qualitative interviews with policymakers. Findings reveal that Keynesian strategies, emphasizing government spending, yielded the highest short-term GDP growth (average 3.2% increase), while Supply-Side policies demonstrated long-term employment resilience. Our comparative framework contributes to the debate on optimal fiscal policy in crisis recovery, providing actionable insights for policymakers navigating future economic challenges. This research is imperative given the ongoing economic volatility and the necessity for effective policy frameworks to sustain growth and stability in the post-pandemic era.
