Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Articles
Journal of Applied Chemistry publishes high-quality research and review articles across all areas of applied and industrial chemistry. The journal welcomes experimental studies, theoretical developments, critical reviews, and case reports that contribute to the advancement of chemical sciences and their practical applications in industry, materials science, and environmental protection.
Empirical Articles – Original research following the IMRAD structure, including laboratory experiments, process optimization, reaction kinetics, analytical methods, and quantitative studies. Submissions should provide new insights into chemical synthesis, catalysis, material development, or environmental and industrial chemistry.
Theoretical Articles – Focused on conceptual models, computational chemistry, and analytical frameworks. These articles should critically analyze existing chemical theories, propose new mechanisms, or develop innovative computational and modeling techniques applicable to applied chemistry and related disciplines.
Review Articles – Comprehensive and critical reviews summarizing the latest progress in applied chemistry, chemical engineering, and sustainable technologies. Reviews should highlight research gaps, evaluate emerging trends, and suggest future directions for chemical innovation and industrial application.
Case Studies – In-depth analyses of practical chemical processes, industrial projects, or technological innovations. Case studies should include background, experimental setup or process description, key findings, and implications for chemical practice and sustainability.
