Abstract

This article explores the application of ionic liquids (ILs) in optimizing chemical processes, focusing on their roles as solvents and catalysts in various reactions. We investigate the unique properties of ILs, such as low volatility and high thermal stability, which make them ideal for enhancing reaction efficiencies and selectivities. The study provides a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in IL research and discusses their potential to replace conventional solvents in industrial applications. By highlighting case studies and practical applications, this research underscores the transformative potential of ILs in sustainable chemical manufacturing.
