Abstract

This research explores the use of virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) in treating phobias. By leveraging immersive virtual environments, VRET provides a safe and controlled setting for patients to confront and overcome their phobias. The study compares VRET with traditional exposure therapy, highlighting its effectiveness in reducing phobic symptoms and increasing patient engagement. Results indicate that VRET is a promising alternative to conventional methods, offering a novel tool for clinical psychologists. The study advocates for the integration of technological advancements in therapeutic practices to enhance patient outcomes.
