This study delves into the cognitive reappraisal mechanisms in patients with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder (TR-MDD) through a combined electroencephalographic (EEG) and psychometric approach. By analyzing EEG patterns and psychometric outcomes in a controlled clinical setting, significant deviations in cognitive processing pathways were identified compared to typical MDD cases. These findings offer novel insights into the neuropsychological underpinnings of TR-MDD, suggesting potential therapeutic targets for enhanced clinical interventions.
