Cultural Heritage Protection: International Legal Perspectives

This paper explores international legal frameworks for protecting cultural heritage. With globalization and technological advances, cultural heritage faces new threats, necessitating robust legal protection. The study examines UNESCO conventions, regional agreements, and national laws, evaluating their effectiveness in safeguarding tangible and intangible heritage. Through case studies, the paper highlights challenges such as illegal trafficking and the destruction of heritage sites in conflict zones. Recommendations are provided for enhancing international cooperation and legal measures to preserve cultural heritage for future generations.
