Abstract

This article investigates the crucial role of turbulence in the process of star formation. Using data from high-resolution simulations and observations, we analyze how turbulent motions within molecular clouds influence the collapse and fragmentation leading to star birth. The study highlights the interplay between gravity and turbulence, proposing new insights into the initial mass function and star cluster formation. Our findings offer a deeper understanding of the dynamics shaping stellar nurseries across the cosmos.
