Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Articles

Oil & Gas Technology Review publishes high-quality research and technical papers that advance innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. The journal welcomes original research, engineering studies, industrial case analyses, and technology reviews that contribute to exploration, production, refining, transportation, and energy transition.

Research Articles – Original studies presenting new methods, data, or findings in petroleum engineering, drilling technology, reservoir management, or renewable integration in the oil & gas industry. Articles should follow the IMRAD structure and demonstrate practical or theoretical significance.

Technical Papers – In-depth analyses of engineering problems, field applications, or industrial innovations. These papers should highlight the design, implementation, and performance of technologies or systems used in oil & gas operations.

Review Articles – Comprehensive overviews of current trends, technologies, and research progress in upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. Reviews should identify challenges, gaps, and future directions in petroleum and energy research.

Case Studies – Detailed reports describing field experiences, pilot projects, or operational improvements. These should include objectives, methodologies, results, and lessons learned applicable to industry practice.
