Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Articles
Strategic Management Perspectives publishes high-quality research advancing the understanding of strategy formulation, organizational transformation, innovation, and leadership. The journal welcomes empirical studies, conceptual developments, systematic reviews, and applied case analyses that deepen knowledge of strategic decision-making and sustainable competitive advantage.
Empirical Articles – Original research following the IMRAD structure, including case-based quantitative studies, surveys, experiments, and mixed-method analyses. Submissions should provide new insights into business strategy, organizational performance, innovation practices, or strategic governance.
Conceptual Articles – Focused on theoretical frameworks and strategic models. These papers should offer integrative perspectives, refine existing theories, or introduce innovative conceptual approaches to strategy, leadership, or organizational design.
Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing current research in strategic management and related fields. Reviews should identify theoretical trends, emerging methodologies, research gaps, and implications for management practice and policy.
Case Studies – In-depth analyses of corporate strategies, organizational transformations, or leadership decisions. Case studies should include context, methodology, challenges, outcomes, and practical implications for managers and policymakers.
