Articles

Applied Linguistics Review publishes high-quality research advancing the understanding and application of language in educational, professional, and social contexts. The journal welcomes empirical studies, theoretical analyses, comprehensive reviews, and practical case studies that contribute to the development of applied linguistic theory and practice.

Empirical Articles – Original research following the IMRAD structure, including experimental, classroom-based, or corpus studies, as well as quantitative and qualitative linguistic research. Submissions should provide new insights into language acquisition, pedagogy, translation, discourse, or communication in real-world contexts.

Theoretical Articles – Conceptual or analytical works that develop linguistic frameworks, refine theoretical models, or critically examine current paradigms in applied linguistics. These papers should advance understanding of language use, multilingualism, and sociocultural aspects of communication.

Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews summarizing key developments in applied linguistics and related disciplines. Reviews should identify research gaps, methodological innovations, and theoretical implications for language education, translation studies, or communication research.

Case Studies – Detailed reports on language-related applications, such as teaching methodologies, policy implementations, or linguistic fieldwork. Case studies should describe context, methodology, findings, and implications for applied linguistics research and practice.
