Keywords:

This study analyzes multilingual education policies in several postcolonial African nations, focusing on their impact on educational outcomes and cultural preservation. By examining case studies from Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, the research highlights how different strategies in implementing multilingual education affect both students’ linguistic capabilities and communities’ cultural identities. The findings suggest that inclusive policies that incorporate indigenous languages alongside colonial languages can result in more equitable educational opportunities and strengthen cultural heritage. Recommendations for policy-makers include fostering partnerships between government bodies and local communities to ensure successful policy implementation.
