This study examines the impact of globalization on language diversity, focusing on the diminishing use of indigenous languages. Through a comparative analysis of languages at risk in Central America, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa, the research identifies key economic and social factors leading to language decline. The paper argues for the necessity of language preservation initiatives that integrate global economic participation with cultural preservation. It highlights successful case studies where local communities have retained linguistic diversity amidst globalization pressures, offering a model for similar initiatives elsewhere. The study suggests international cooperation to support such efforts.
