Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Articles
Educational Research & Practice publishes high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of educational theory, policy, and practice. The journal welcomes empirical investigations, conceptual analyses, comprehensive reviews, and applied studies addressing innovation, pedagogy, and learning outcomes across diverse educational settings.
Empirical Articles – Original research following the IMRAD structure, including experimental, quasi-experimental, longitudinal, and mixed-method studies. Submissions should provide new insights into teaching effectiveness, learning processes, educational technologies, curriculum development, or policy evaluation.
Theoretical Articles – Conceptual and analytical papers that examine existing frameworks or propose new theoretical models in the fields of education and pedagogy. These articles should offer innovative perspectives or reinterpret established concepts to address current educational challenges.
Review Articles – Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing current knowledge in educational research and practice. Reviews should highlight emerging trends, gaps in existing literature, and implications for future studies, classroom applications, or educational policy.
Case Studies – Applied reports describing specific educational programs, instructional interventions, or school improvement initiatives. Case studies should include context, methodology, implementation process, results, and key lessons for practitioners and policymakers.
