The Influence of Parental Involvement on Student Academic Performance in Canadian Schools

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between parental involvement and student academic performance in Canadian schools. Utilizing quantitative data from standardized test scores and qualitative insights from parent and teacher interviews, the study explores how different levels of parental engagement impact educational outcomes. Results demonstrate a positive correlation between active parental involvement and improved student performance, though the study also highlights challenges related to socioeconomic factors. Recommendations are made for schools to foster more inclusive parental engagement practices.
