Abstract

This article examines the impact of language anxiety on student performance in language learning contexts. It reviews psychological studies that link high anxiety levels with reduced performance and engagement. The article provides insights into the causes of language anxiety, including fear of negative evaluation and communication apprehension. The findings suggest that addressing language anxiety through supportive teaching practices can significantly improve student outcomes. The study highlights the importance of creating an encouraging learning environment to mitigate anxiety and enhance language acquisition.
